U DRAJAT KUSWARA

Uus Drajat Kuswara was born in Garut, West Java, in 1963. After graduating from the Department of Engineering Physics at ITB in 1987, he worked at the Directorate of Aircraft Industry Technology Nusantara (IPTN). The trend of banking computerization in the late 1980s caught Kuswara’s attention, leading him to work for an IT company. In 1990, he joined a research institution under the Ministry of Finance called the Center for Policy and Implementation Studies. In 1993, he joined ECONIT Advisory Group, an economic research institution conducting studies in industry, trade, agriculture, banking, and public policy. In 2013, he co-founded CORE Indonesia with Hendri Saparini. Outside his activities in economic research, he is involved in a volunteer organization for nature conservation at Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park and is also a member of the ITB Student Regiment Corps.
