Mohammad Faisal, the current Executive Director of CORE Indonesia, completed his Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and was one of ITB’s top graduates in 1998. In 2006, he earned a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne, Australia. In 2013, he obtained a Ph.D. in Political Economy from the University of Queensland, Australia.
An enthusiast of painting, calligraphy, badminton, and tennis, Faisal began focusing on economic research when he joined ECONIT Advisory Group from 2000 to 2002. In addition to his research expertise, Faisal has professional experience at various prominent international organizations, including the World Bank, the United Nations Population Fund, and the ASEAN Secretariat.
