CORE Indonesia stands for the Center of Reform on Economics. We are an independent think-tank focused on research and consulting in the fields of economics, industry, trade, regional development, and public policy.

Vision & Mission
Indonesia is a large country with abundant resources and strategic geographical location. However, improper economic policy management has hindered Indonesia from becoming a developed and respected nation. CORE Indonesia was established as an independent think-tank in the field of economics to help address core economic issues. We hope to be a platform for all those who share the same concerns and to become a partner for policymakers, intellectuals, and business actors.
Main Research Areas
Macroeconomic Studies: We conduct regular outlooks and reviews of economic developments, offering monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual analyses based on key macroeconomic indicators. These studies provide a comprehensive understanding of the current economic landscape and future trends.
Thematic Studies: Our thematic studies focus on specific economic policies and sectors. These include analyses of monetary and fiscal policies, foreign trade cooperation, agriculture, mining, manufacturing, services, energy, infrastructure, poverty, inequality, employment, and more. Each study is designed to offer targeted insights and actionable recommendations.
Consultation Services
CORE Indonesia offers a range of consultation services tailored to meet the needs of various stakeholders:
Macroeconomics: Our macroeconomic consultation services include policy studies, analyses of economic developments, and predictions/outlooks for both national and global economies. We provide our clients with the information they need to navigate complex economic environments.
Sectoral Studies: We conduct detailed policy studies in various sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, mining, and the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). We also cover the services sector, including banking and tourism.
Regional Economics: Our expertise extends to regional economic development, encompassing provinces, districts/cities, villages, and specific areas. We help local governments and organizations develop strategies for sustainable regional growth.
Public Sector Budget Consultation: We offer training and consultation services on the preparation and evaluation of national and regional budgets (APBN or APBD). Our goal is to enhance the effectiveness and transparency of public sector budgeting processes.
Strategic Communication: CORE Indonesia provides advocacy, counseling, and socialization services to a wide range of stakeholders, including government institutions, parliament (DPR/DPRD), business actors, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), business/professional associations, academics, students, media, and the broader society. Our strategic communication efforts aim to foster understanding and collaboration among these groups.
Regular Activities
CORE Media Discussion: We host monthly discussions with journalists from print and electronic media. These sessions present the findings of CORE Indonesia’s research and feature insights from experts in various fields. The goal is to disseminate knowledge and stimulate informed public discourse.
CORE Group Discussion: These are focused, limited discussions with relevant stakeholders on specific economic issues. They provide a platform for in-depth exploration of topics and collaborative problem-solving.
CORE Public Lecture: Our public lectures feature distinguished speakers from both domestic and international backgrounds. These events are designed to share expert knowledge and stimulate intellectual engagement on critical economic topics.
CORE Economic Outlook: This annual national study and seminar focus on predicting Indonesia’s economic conditions for the upcoming year. The event provides comprehensive analyses and policy recommendations aimed at fostering economic improvement and resilience.
